Your KAST benefits are getting a simpler home.
We are moving from card-level subscriptions to account-level memberships. That means your rewards, card access, and perks are now tied to one membership tier, not spread across separate cards.
For new users, the setup is straightforward: choose Standard, Premium, or Private, and everything flows from there. For existing users, the new structure will be assigned based on the highest-tier active card on the account.
What changes for you
Previously, your benefits were attached to individual cards. Now they live at the account level.
You will have one membership tier that determines your cashback rate, card access, and points earning. Whether you are new to KAST or already a member, this is the structure going forward. New users choose a tier when they sign up. Existing users are migrated based on their highest-tier active card.
The three membership tiers
Here is how Standard, Premium, and Private compare:
| Feature | Standard | Premium | Private |
|---|---|---|---|
| Annual fee | $0 | $1,000 | $10,000 |
| Cashback rate | 1.5% on first $2,000/month | 2% on first $10,000/month | 3% on first $40,000/month |
| Max monthly cashback | Up to $30 | Up to $160 | Up to $900 |
| KAST Points | — | 1% on eligible spend | 2% on eligible spend |
| Card network | Visa Platinum | Visa Infinite | Visa Infinite |
| Included cards | 2 free cards, virtual or physical | 1 free Premium card, virtual and physical, plus 2 free Standard cards | 1 free Plated Gold card plus 2 free cards from any other tier |
| Physical card fee | $40 shipping fee for Standard physical cards | Included | Included |
Note: In certain markets, Standard virtual card issuance may include a $2 fee.
Why we made this change
The old model spread your benefits across individual card subscriptions, which made your account harder to understand. Memberships fix that by putting everything in one place, one tier, one structure, one clear picture of what you earn and what you have access to.
Paid memberships also include both USD cashback and KAST Points on eligible spend. Your membership does not just unlock access. It also determines how you earn.
How billing works
Memberships are billed annually. When you choose a paid tier, you pay upfront for a 12-month term. There is no monthly billing option at this time.
Upgrading: Your new membership activates immediately. Unused time from your previous term does not carry over, and no pro-rata credit is applied.
Cancelling: Your membership remains active until the end of the paid year. After that, your account moves to Standard. Your cards stay with you.
Renewing your membership
We will send you a renewal prompt 30 days before your membership expires. You will have three options:
- Extend Now — pay immediately and add 12 months from your current expiry date
- Auto-renew — your membership renews automatically on the anniversary date
- Opt-Out — your benefits stay active until the term ends, then your account moves to Standard
If auto-renew is on and a payment fails, a 7-day grace period begins. The system retries daily. If payment is not collected within 7 days, your account moves to Standard.
What happens to your cards
Your cards do not disappear when your membership changes. If your paid term ends without renewal, your cards remain functional, but your rewards and points rate adjust to reflect your new membership level. In other words, the card can still work while your account benefits revert to Standard.
Card access is tier-based. If you need cards beyond your included quota, contact Concierge. Additional cards cannot be ordered directly in the app, and there is a maximum of 10 cards per user post-migration.

If you already use KAST
We are migrating existing users in batches. Your new tier will match your highest-tier active card:
- Standard card → Standard membership
- Premium card → Premium membership
- Luxe card → Private membership
You will receive the remaining time on a 12-month window from your original card purchase date, with a minimum of 1 month, before your Target Billing Start Date. By that date, renew or upgrade to stay on your current tier. Otherwise, your account moves to Standard.
Existing Founders Card members receive unlimited Premium lifetime membership at no additional cost. Limited and Founder cards will no longer be issued going forward.

The bottom line
We are moving from card tiers to account-level memberships, so your KAST benefits live with your account, not scattered across separate card subscriptions.
