KAST Security Tips: How to Spot Fake KAST Staff in Telegram, X, and Discord

The scam does not always look like a scam.
Sometimes it looks like support. A fast reply in Telegram. A helpful DM on X. A Discord message that says your account has an issue and needs verification. That is the trap.
At KAST, our rule is simple: we will never ask you to sign in through a link, and we will never ask for your password or full card details. If someone does, it is not us.
What fake KAST staff usually do
They create urgency first.
The message might say your account is at risk, your card is blocked, or a transfer needs action now. Then it pushes you to click a link, open a fake login page, or share information you should never share.
The goal is not to help you. The goal is to get into your account.
The easiest signs to watch for
You do not need to memorize every scam format. Start with the red flags that matter most.
- They ask you to sign in through a link
- They ask for your password
- They ask for your full card details
- They pressure you to act right now
- They contact you in a group chat or DM and claim to be KAST staff
- The message feels off, rushed, or too aggressive
If that happens, stop there.
One realistic example
You post a question in a Telegram group.
A profile with a KAST logo replies within minutes. It tells you there is a problem with your account and sends a link to verify it. The page looks close enough to feel real, so you enter your login.
That is the moment the scam works.
The problem is not the group itself. The problem is trusting a direct message or reply that moves you off-platform and into a login flow you did not start yourself.
What we want you to do instead
Use official KAST channels only.
If something looks wrong, go to the KAST app or the official KAST website yourself. Do not use the link they sent.
If you think you interacted with a fake KAST account:
- Freeze your card immediately if card risk is involved
- Change your password
- Review recent activity
- Turn on extra verification
- Contact Concierge through official channels
We also want to be clear about one thing: we will never ask you to share your password or full card details.
What we do
We build KAST to help reduce this risk before it turns into a bigger problem.
We use protections such as identity checks, encryption, device-level security, and fraud monitoring. We also give you in-app controls, so if something looks wrong, you can act fast and manage your card without waiting.
Still, the first move often belongs to you: do not trust the message just because it looks official.
The rule to remember
If a message claims to be from KAST and tells you to click a link to sign in, it is not us.
That one rule can save you from the whole chain.
